As of May 2016...
Welcome to the Annual Giving Campaign
This campaign is the primary fundraiser for LPIE. For parents with students in Lafayette public schools, LPIE asks for your contribution each year. Our suggested ask is $800 per student or consider championing your child's education at a higher level. Please give as generously as you can. All donations make a difference. There are still spaces left in the following upcoming parties!
Couples Night at the Barrel House Saturday, August 13th $100 per person
Join us for what promises to be an amazing evening of fun and live music at one of San francisco's exclusive/private speakeasies, the Barrel House (built in 1906, it doesn't look a day over 102). Beer and wine provided by hosts with performances by local Lafayette Dad/Mom bands. Doors open at 7:30 and close when everyone is done rocking out.
Fabulous Fondue Fete Saturday, September 24th $75 per person
If you missed the premiere of this fun event, don't miss out this time! The Soto/McClain, Proffett/Fabela and Rurka families will once again host an evening of fondue, fine wines, and the best yodeling this side of the Alps. Lederhosen optional, of course.

|Thanks to the 2025 community and family donors, LPIE exceeded its fundraising goal and raised more than $2.6 million last year for the 4,900 students in our Lafayette public schools. In 2015-16, LPIE is providing our students with more opportunities and advantages than ever before with a fundraising goal of $2.8 million and a projected support level of $2.7 million. This ambitious budget continues to support curriculum and enrichment in all of our schools. We are especially proud to support our schools at this level while maintaining only 8% in overhead costs. Donations immediately go to work providing much-needed funds for technology, classrooom aides, elective support, professional development, funding of class sections, as well as our core programs in science, art, music and social science.
We hope you will consider making LPIE one of your philanthropic priorities. By donating to LPIE, you advocate for exceptional educational opportunities for all students, champion our teachers with training and materials, and support our schools and community.
|Celebrate LPIE's 35th Anniversary. Details to come on Anniversary Bash!
It was 1980, and Lafayette’s public schools were facing devastating cutbacks in the arts and sciences in the wake of the passage of Proposition 13. In response, a group of concerned parents organized to save threatened programs. With an initial budget of $5,000 and working closely with district teachers and administrators, they spread the word, raised funds, planned programs, hired qualified instructors, and brought art, music and science back into the classroom. Thus, the Lafayette Arts & Science Foundation (LASF) was born. Thirty-five years later, with a name change and shift in its funding model along the way, LPIE continues to make a significant impact on Lafayette’s public schools and students. Be a part of the celebration and donate today! All contributions are welcomed! Consider an Anniversary gift of $3,500 or more. Not only will you be part of our Honor Roll program and receive the benefits and invitations of a Major Donor and complimentary VIP admission to our Anniversary Bash, but you will make a major impact on the education of our children.
